In addition to online support, SMI offers on-site support throughout the world in order to provide customers with quick and effective assistance and technical support.
SMI Help Desk avails itself of field service engineers speaking various languages and boasting an extensive experience in mechanical, electrical and electronic domains; they operate from both Italy-based SMI headquarters and the numerous foreign branches.

The types of on-site interventions carried out are:

  • Technical problem resolution

    In case the problem arisen on the machine cannot be solved through online support, SMI field engineers are ready to intervene personally at the customer's factory in the shortest possible time, in order to quickly restore the machine full functioning.

  • Planned maintenance

    SMI field engineers are also available to carry out planned maintenance interventions, be it ordinary or extraordinary, in order to ensure the machine perfect running and efficiency conditions during its entire life cycle.

  • Machine upgrades

    Should the end user wish to widen the machine functions or add new applications to it, SMI Help Desk provides skilled personnel with proven ability and experience to rapidly carry out mechanical or electronic updating operations minimizing the impact of their work on the factory production schedule.
